Like most women, I tend to describe myself by my relationships: I am married, have three children, three grandchildren and one on the way. My husband and I are the primary caregivers for my father who lives with us. In my past life I was a chef, now I’m a free lance writer, preferring to write about food rather than cook it myself. My idea of exercise is picking up my pen to write in my journal every morning. When I was little, I wanted to grow up to be a chubby, jolly grey-haired cookie-baking grandma like the ones I saw in my picture books. The chubby and the cookie baking part I’ve got down, but I refuse to let nature take its course when it comes to my hair and menopause often leaves me a little less than jolly.
I have written for Business Leader Magazine, Wake Living Magazine, Pinehurst Magazine, Cary Living Magazine, Our State, Women’s Edge, Midtown and Triangle Business Journal
